Vintage Napcoware Arcadia Cookie Jar C-6672 Grape Harvest Girl Lovebirds Japan For Sale

This beautiful vintage 1960s ceramic cookie jar or biscuit barrel was produced by Napcoware (National Potteries Company) as part of their highly collectible Arcadia series. The underside retains its original metallic pink and silver foil import label alongside the stamped item number C-6672. It features a highly detailed, deeply embossed relief pattern on a warm tan-orange clay body.

One side depicts a charming European-style pastoral scene of a peasant girl harvesting fruit, while the reverse side captures a young woman playing a classical stringed lyre harp. The vessel is beautifully framed by dimensional, hand-painted blue grape clusters and green grapevines, topped with a form-fitting lid featuring two white lovebirds perched together on a log. Standing at approximately 9.25 inches tall from the base to the bird finial, this iconic piece of Japanese ceramic import history is in excellent vintage condition with an intact foil sticker and clean interior.
