Midway Airlines holds a legendary place in American aviation history as the very first brand-new airline to launch following the historic US Airline Deregulation Act of 1978. Operating out of its dedicated hub at Chicago Midway International Airport, the carrier completely revitalized the airport and set the standard for regional jet travel in the 1980s. This first-issue double-star captain wing represents the peak operational era of the historic Chicago airline, making it a highly sought-after piece for serious uniform insignia, militaria, and commercial aviation collectors.

These wings came from NASA associate Director Daniel Nebrig’s estate and will Include a copy of the provenance card that the family and estate company made for these historic pieces.
