The caddy is a blended black and brown tortoiseshell pattern.Some descriptions state this is made of bakelite -Other descriptions call it "bakelitestyle composite" and still others call it melamine.In any case, it is a very sturdy substantial (heavy) weight item of a synthetic material popular in Midcentury.
Caddy has 4 compartments that measure approximately 4" deep.Caddy measures 18.5" by 10.5."
Originally made for holding bulk flatware, this is great for anything at home that needs divided storage - flatware, tools, crafts.
This is a vintage item.It is in very good condition with some age related signs of use.
