Presented here is an authentic,vintage mid-century tourist souvenir powder compact from Toledo, Spain, dating circa 1950s–1970s. The lid features a beautifully detailed, high-relief Toledo Damascene (damasquinado) paneldepicting the literary character Don Quixote alongside his iconic windmill, intricately inlaid with gold and silvertones against an oxidized background. It cushion shape measures around 3” x 3”.

- Exterior: There is considerable fading/loss of the gold plating on the outer front bezel frame and across the machine-engraved guilloché patterned back casing, revealing the silver-toned base metal underneath. There are a few spots of localized oxidation/tarnish on the back and sides. The damascene decoration is mostly intact with light loss on one edge.
- Interior: The loose powder well is empty and retains its original removable mesh screen/sifter. The original powder puff is missing.
- Mirror: The interior glass mirror features a clean stress crack/deep scratch on the lower-left side. The glass is completely stable, smooth to the touch, and not loose or jagged.
