Vintage Mid-Century Modern Yasha Heifetz Style Carved Wood Table Lamp Wooden MCM For Sale

Beautiful carved wood table lamp, I believe it is the work of post-war artist Yasha Heifetz.Gorgeous mid-century modern freeform design to match a variety of decors.Wooden body of lamp (I believe it is bleached oak) is 15\" high, total height of lamp to top of harp is 26\". Sold by Light House Lamp & Shade Company. In excellent condition, clean. Some surface scratches, especially on the edges and 9\" round base, some pitting/tarnish to brass center rod and on base. I didn\'t want to spend too much time \"restoring\" this lamp and possibly compromising it\'s vintage integrity. Tested and works great,original cord looks good.From a smoke-free home.Local pick up is available in Massillon, Ohio. I can deliver to Columbia, MD or along the PA Turnpike.
FUN FACTS:The Heifetz Manufacturing Company of New York started in 1938. Their primary product was table lamps, but they also made ashtrays, wood and metal sculptural items and some furniture. In 1950 he co-sponsored (with MoMA) a national lamp design contest. Over 600 competitors entered, submitting almost 3,000 designs. The prestigious jurors announced 15 winners in 1951, and Heifetz immediately began producing 10 of the winning designs.Check my positive response and offer with confidence!
