Stunning, authentic mid-century modern Italian art pottery catchall dish produced by the artisan workshop 3 Amici Ceramiche. This highly stylized piece perfectly captures the playful, avant-garde energy of post-war European design.
Design & Motif:
The front features a captivating, hand-painted abstract composition heavily inspired by the iconic surrealist works of Joan Miró. Bold primary shapes in deep blue, vibrant red, and teal pop against a speckled buttercream yellow background. The unique, organically shaped asymmetric frame (kidney/triangle style) makes it an incredible statement piece for an atomic-era coffee table, entryway console, or pottery collection.
Backstamp & Authenticity:
The underside is fully marked with the incised workshop stamp reading "3 Amici / ceramiche / ITALY" accompanied by a hand-painted purple cold-glaze splash accent.
Condition:
This is a true vintage object showing authentic mid-century character. There is beautiful, natural age-crazing throughout the glaze. Please note there is visible chipping, flaking, and glaze wear isolated around the outer rim edges, as pictured. The central abstract artwork remains vibrant and beautifully preserved.
