Up for sale is a beautiful vintage mid-century Rococo revival-style trinket or jewelry box. This ornate vanity piece features a classic Fragonard-style Victorian courting couple scene on a domed ceramic cameo inlay centered on a white enamel lid.
The box features an intricate, footed cast-metal base with an antiqued gold-tone finish and leaf/shell scrollwork. The interior is lined with its original vibrant red velveteen fabric. The bottom of the piece is stamped with the "JAPAN" hallmark.
