Vintage 1973 McCoy Pottery / Upjohn Unipet Jingle Jar pet treat container featuring a cream-colored ceramic bowl decorated with stylized orange dogs and cats and a coordinating burnt-orange lid.
Originally produced as a promotional piece for The Upjohn Company’s Unipet vitamin-mineral protein supplement for pets. The original Unipet paper advertising labels remain attached to the lid—a particularly nice feature for a MCM collection, pharmaceutical advertising, Veterinary or Veterinarian collection, or McCoy collection.
The original hanging bell/clapper remains inside the lid, creating the “Jingle Jar” effect when the lid is handled.
Approximately 5½ inches tall and about 5 inches in diameter.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, light marks and discoloration. Original paper labels show expected aging, edge wear and some lifting. Interior shows light use.
Bell/clapper is present. No chips or cracks. Please see photos for complete condition.
