• The Collection: This ceramic piece was part of the \"From Barbie with Love\" series produced by Enesco in the mid-1990s. The collection paid homage to vintage Barbie doll designs from the late 1950s and early 1960s.
• The Design: This specific design replicates the classic look of the 1961 Registered Nurse Barbie (Outfit #954). It features the characteristic \"bubblecut\" reddish-orange hairstyle, side-glancing blue eyes with blue eyeshadow, a white nurse\'s cap with a black stripe, and a navy blue cape with a red lining.
• The \"Artist\" Concept: While highly stylized like mid-century lady head vases, this piece was not sculpted by an independent fine artist. It was commercially designed by Enesco\'s in-house product development team, intentionally mimicking the original vinyl doll molds sculpted by Mattel\'s design pioneer, Jack Ryan, and fashion designer Charlotte Johnson in the early 1960s.
