Vintage Master Mechanic MM8 USA Schrade 3 Blade Stockman Pocket Knife Old Timer For Sale

The knife has smooth, dark amber-toned Delrin composite handle scales inset with a flush-fit nickel silver bar shield stamped MASTER MECHANIC. Built on a classic 3 7/8 inch multi-blade serpentine stockman frame template, this configuration features a master clip point blade, a secondary sheepsfoot blade, and a spey blade. The Imperial Schrade Cutlery Corporation manufactured this hard-working utility line in the USA at their historic Ellenville, New York factory as a special factory order contract for Cotter & Company (True Value Hardware stores) primarily during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

This pocket knife is in good vintage condition. The master clip point blade is crisply tang stamped MM8 over U.S.A. All three blades are full with minor surface patina and very light oxidation from age-related storage as pictured, completely free from aggressive grinding or sharpening modifications. The thick brass liners, secure handle pins, and brushed nickel silver bolsters remain flush and structurally sound. The knife has plenty of backspring snap, and as you can see, the blades are full profile. This is a very nice knife. Very good condition. All three blades feature strong mechanical tension and a very good mechanical back snap sound upon opening and closing.
