Stunning vintage mid-century \"La Baigneuse\" (The Bather) nymph statue produced by the highly collectible Marwal Industries, Inc. (Brooklyn, NY) in the 1960s.
This is a beautiful museum reproduction modeled after the famous 18th-century classical sculpture by Étienne-Maurice Falconet. It is cast in heavy, premium chalkware/hydrastone, giving it a substantial, high-quality weight and smooth finish.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Unlike most chalkware pieces from this era, it has NO chips, cracks, or deep fractures. There are only a couple of minor, incredibly faint surface scratches consistent with age, but it shows beautifully. The original gold foil \"Marwal Industries Inc.\" manufacturer label is still securely intact on the felted base.
Perfect for Hollywood Regency, mid-century modern, neoclassical, or eclectic home decor.
Measures: 17”x6”
