So beautiful. This wood is absolutely gorgeous. The grain and dark look to it is incredible. This is in very good condition. It still has its original sticker on it that says \"hand carved in Aotearoa, NZ Timber- kauri\" no other markings. No scratches or cracks or flaws in the wood. Paua shell is another name for abalone. The eyes are made from this shell. These are highly collectable and no 2 are exactly the same . Because they are hand carved they all have unique differences to them. These are not always /often in such good condition. This one is beautiful. I can\'t help but really stare at the kauri wood.
