Vintage Made In Germany #57 Porcelain Scuttle Shaving Mug Floral Gold Trim.
Vintage scuttle shaving mug in pretty decent shape. There is about a 2\" hairline crack shown in the last photo and is located just above the red line. Some of the gold trim has rubbed off or is fading. There is no trim work on the right side of the handle and probably only half on the left side. All the paint specks appear to be under the glaze. The mark on the bottom, I believe says MADE IN GERMANY 57. I\'m not sure if this is porcelain or ceramic. Nothing is perfectly round and the gold trim was painted on crooked. The rim of the soap dish is a little rough just above the dark colored dot. On the bottom, there is a spot that is indented straight above the maker\'s mark. It was glazed over this way and not chipped afterwards. It is still a nice piece to display.
You will be purchasing a vintage and used item. It will not be perfect, but in good usable condition.
