Vintage MCM Wicker Rattan Frog Basket – Green Glass Eye – 17.5\" Tall

Whimsical mid-century figural frog basket in brown-stained rattan/wicker. Seated frog form with a wide open mouth that works as a magazine holder, planter cachepot, wastebasket, or catch-all.

Tight coiled weaving on the body and a cross-weave pattern on the base. Green glass eye on one side. Wire-reinforced woven legs.

Measures approximately 17.5 inches tall.

CONDITION

Good vintage condition consistent with age.

• Body weaving is solid

• One green glass eye is present

• Feet are present and complete

• Left leg has a little give and moves slightly (rattan wrapped over a wire core; wrapping is intact)

• Some fraying and exposed wire at the toes — typical of these pieces
