A fabulous and wonderfully whimsical vintage Italian ceramic Three Wise Monkeys set, representing the classic See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil motif.
Dating to the 1960s, this charming set of three was handmade in Italy and features hand-painted, glazed ceramic construction. Each monkey has its own expressive personality and colorful trousers, with wonderful Mid-Century Italian character. The piece is marked “ITALY” on the interior, the other 2 have vintage paper tags.
This is the kind of vintage find that works beautifully across several decorating styles. For the Grandmillennial collector, these monkeys bring exactly the right mix of color, humor, nostalgia and collected-over-time charm.
