Vintage pair of Mid-Century Modern ceramic Trojan horse figurines featuring highly detailed incised geometric decoration and glossy glaze.The coordinating horses feature cream-colored ceramic with contrasting olive green and warm brown accents. Their stylized forms, geometric patterns and distinctive 1960s-inspired design are characteristic of the decorative pottery commonly described as Bitossi style.One figurine has an incised/handwritten signature or marking on the underside. The other figurine has taped markings dating 1966 with initials. The signature has not been identified, so these are not being attributed to Bitossi.A striking pair for a Mid-Century Modern, retro pottery or horse figurine collection.Includes both horses shown.ConditionVintage pre-owned condition. Some felt pads on the feet. Both have signed or taped markings on the underside.No major chips or cracks.
