A handful of American pocket change, frozen mid-air in clear lucite.
A heavy clear lucite disc with a set of United States coins suspended inside it: a Franklin half dollar at the centre, a Washington quarter, a Jefferson nickel, a Roosevelt dime and a Lincoln cent arranged around it. Desk objects like this were a standard mid-century gift, usually from a bank or a business, and they have aged into something people actually want on a desk again. The coins read clearly from the top and the lucite has kept its clarity.
