Up for sale is a fantastic Mid Century Small Still Toy" or "1940s 1950s Propaganda") matching pair of vintage patriotic American Eagle miniature still banks in vibrant molded red and blue hard plastic. Dating to the late 1940s or 1950s, these mid-century collectibles feature the iconic American eagle design molded on a circular pedestal base.What makes this specific pair incredibly rare is that both original paper bottom seals are 100% intact and unpierced! These fragile paper labels feature the historical home-front slogan: "BUY UNITED STATES WAR SAVINGS BONDS AND STAMPS" along with the original opening instructions ("TO OPEN PIERCE DOT LIFT THRU CENTER"). Because these banks had to be broken or punctured to retrieve the coins inside, finding a pair with pristine, untouched paper bottoms is highly unusual. Some paint chips as expected for the age.
