This is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Mid-Century Modern Ceramic Horse Head Planter. This striking piece features a classic bay/chestnut coloration with a high-gloss glazed finish, beautifully accented by a finely detailed dark chocolate brown to black mane. Produced in Japan during the 1950s or 1960s, this style of planter was widely imported by renowned novelty brands of the era like Lefton, Napco (Napcoware), and Inarco. It serves as an excellent decorative planter for succulents, a unique pen/pencil holder for an office desk, or a standout display piece for any equestrian collector or lover of vintage mid-century decor.

This item is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze remains incredibly bright and shiny. As with all mid-century ceramics, there may be minor manufacturing glaze pops or light shelf wear on the unglazed bottom rim.
