Without chips, wear on the gold trim, or paint loss this piece is in excellent condition.
The interior of 2 separate rectangular wells - meant for pills, rings or tiny keepsakes.
The 2 holes at the bottom are a common manufacturing and functional feature in many vintage compartmentalized Limoges porcelain boxes. They allow for better firing during production to prevent cracks and defects.
Vintage French Limoges Porcelain Hinged Trinket/Pill Box – Dual Compartment Floral Roses Design with Gold Metal Trim & Leaf Clasp
Beautiful vintage Limoges (or Limoges-style) porcelain rectangular hinged box featuring classic French floral decoration. The exterior shows elegant pink roses and blue flowers framed by scrolling yellow/cream borders with blue lattice/checkered bands and gold accents. The lid and base are edged in gilt metal with a decorative leaf-shaped clasp and rope-twist detailing along the hinge line.
When opened, the interior reveals two divided white porcelain compartments, each decorated with a delicate hand-painted pink rose (with green leaves and small blue accents). The lid interior is plain white porcelain. The overall look is refined and feminine, typical of mid-20th-century French decorative porcelain boxes used for pills, jewelry, or small trinkets. 
What the marks mean
• Green stamped mark: “Limoges France” — This confirms the porcelain was produced in the Limoges region of France (a protected origin for true Limoges porcelain).
• Blue script mark: “Eximious” — This is the brand/retailer mark. Eximious is a known design and retail company (active primarily from the 1990s onward) that commissioned and sold high-quality hand-painted Limoges porcelain trinket boxes. Their pieces are typically marked this way, often alongside “Peint Main” (hand-painted) on other examples.
