Vintageand charming Russian lacquer box from the village of Fedoskino. Thepainting depicts a young Russian girl with piercing blue eyes. It issigned in Cyrillic on the lower left with the village name“Fedoskino” and on the lower right with the artist\'s signature“S. Makhov”.

Thebox measures approximately 8 inches long, 6 3/4 inches wideand 1 3/8 inches tall. The box is in excellent vintage condition withno chips or cracks. However, there are light scratches to the clearlacquer surface over the girl that do not penetrate into thepainting. They are only visible when holding the box at an angle tothe light.
