Vintage Large 9”x12” Audubon 2-Sided Print Common Tern & Sandpiper - SHIPS FREE For Sale

After more than 60 years of collecting books, it is time to move my collections along to new homes. We have bird prints all over our home including some of Audubon’s but we have no more wall space! We are at that time in life where we are downsizing and everything needs to find a good home. The books I have purchased over the years have been in every condition imaginable from pristine to parts of books. My oldest brother has been doing book binding and repair for over six decades but is no longer able to do the work, so from some of my books I have been able to recover some very nice problem free prints. This one was recovered from a 1944 edition of Audubon’s “The Birds of America.” It is a two sided 9”x12” full color plate lithograph printed on medium-heavy weight matte paper with prints on two sides. On one side is #309 Common Tern and on the flip side is #310 Spotted Sandpiper. These prints have not been on display, retain their original vibrant pastel colors, and have little to no foxing around the edges of the page that was exposed to light. It is hard to say which of these I like best as both of these prints are very attractive. To ensure the print arrives safely, I will ship flat and in an archival quality folder for your short or long term safe storage.
