✅ RARE VINTAGE 1975 KOOL-AID CANDY APPLE PACKET — SEALED & UNOPENED
🍎 \"NEW!\" INTRODUCTORY RUN | GENERAL FOODS ERA | EARLY UPC BARCODE
You are looking at a rare, sealed, and unopened Kool-Aid
Candy Apple unsweetened soft drink mix packet from the 1974–1975
introductory production run — labeled \"new!\" on the front, exactly
as it appeared on store shelves when this flavor first launched.
WHY THIS PACKET IS SPECIAL
🔴 INTRODUCTORY RUN — The \"new!\" burst on the front confirms this is
from the very first production run of Candy Apple Kool-Aid. This flavor
was later discontinued, making original first-run packets extremely
hard to find.
🔴 PRECISELY DATED — The back panel reads \"Best When Used By Dec. 75,\"
pinpointing production to approximately mid-1974 through early 1975.
This packet is approximately 50 years old.
🔴 ONE OF THE EARLIEST GENERAL FOODS BARCODES EVER ISSUED — The UPC
barcode (430009528) uses General Foods\' original manufacturer prefix
43000. The very first retail UPC scan in history occurred on June 26,
1974 — this packet was produced within roughly 12 months of that
historic moment. Pre-barcode collectors and early UPC historians take note.
🔴 GENUINE GENERAL FOODS ERA — Manufactured by General Foods Corporation,
White Plains, New York — the most sought-after era among Kool-Aid
collectors. The classic GF logo with red dots is visible on the back panel.
🔴 VITAMIN C VARIANT — Features a \"WITH VITAMIN C\" yellow burst graphic,
a detail not found on most standard packets of this period.
🔴 TRANSITIONAL MASCOT ART — The front features the classic smiling
pitcher design at the precise transition point between the original
\"Pitcher Man\" (1954–1973) and the fully anthropomorphic Kool-Aid Man
(debuted 1974). A snapshot of mascot history.
