KA-BAR 1207 Fixed Blade Fighting Knife Stacked Leather 1966-1980
Vintage Ka-Bar Model 1207 fighting knife produced during the Cole International ownership era.
This model was manufactured after Ka-Bar was acquired by Cole International in 1966 and is believed to have been marketed primarily through military Post Exchanges and Navy Exchanges. The Model 1207 remained in production until its discontinuation from the standard Ka-Bar catalog around 1980.
The knife features a clip point fighting blade, brass guard, and stacked leather handle construction typical of Ka-Bar\'s military-inspired field knives. These Cole-era examples have developed a strong collector following due to their relatively short production period and military exchange sales history.
No sheath.
The knife is solid overall. The butt cap has movement and is loose. Blade shows age patina, sharpening, scratches, oxidation, and wear consistent with age and use. Handle shows honest handling and storage wear.
Size: 11 1/8\" total length
Blade length: 6 1/8\"
