Description:
A striking vintage Judaica wall plaque richly modeled with traditional Jewish and Jerusalem imagery. Two Lions of Judah flank the crowned Tablets of the Ten Commandments above the Hebrew verse “For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah,” while a detailed Jerusalem cityscape fills the lower portion. The aged mixed-metal surface has wonderful variation in copper, brass and darker patinated tones, giving the relief considerable depth and an old-world character. The reverse is particularly intriguing, bearing three separate impressed symbols including a Star of David, an eye and a crowned SAUI maker\'s mark.
