To me, this bolo tie is in great preowned/vintage condition, meaning lovingly worn, well taken care of and light wear consistent with age and use. Aside from light wear, there was a little more wear on the tie cord as shown in the video and images. To me, this is not a big deal, but it may be to you, so please look closely.
It is a very bright gold tone and shiny and is picking up so many reflections in the photos including my pink phone care and black sweatshirt. There are no weird spots on it at all.
I amnot sure what the metal is and I did not want to use any harsh cleaners/polishing agents and damage the enamel, so I will leave any cleaning or polishing up to the discretion of the buyer.
The piece is quite heavy. It is definitely not a wimpy piece. I am sure someone will be wearing it proudly.
This is really a unique cool piece. I just got finished reading about the history of the Jolly Corks. What a cool history.This piece would make a great addition to your own collection or to give as a gift to an Elks member.

I am finding this much more common in newer, mass-produced sterling jewelry with gold vermeil & Rhodium plating or beaded sterling jewelry with metal wires. I bring this up because although there is a lot of fake silver & gold out there, some folks think if a piece of jewelry marked sterling or 925 is magnetic then it must be fake, which is not necessarily true. Manufacturers mark sterling jewelry with gold vermeil or rhodium plating with a simple 925 or sterling. Condition:Vintage or preowned jewelry typically shows wear constant with its age. This may include things to expect such as light scratches, tarnish, in need of cleaning or polishing, etc. as it most likely has been worn and loved. ** Most of the time, I try not to disturb any vintage/preowned jewelry by cleaning and/or polishing it in order to keep it in its original patina leaving it to your discretion. I do not want to take a chance ruining something. Depending on your own taste, you can either clean or polish it or keep it in its original state.
My jewelry comes from estates, individual consignors, individual or bulk purchases, etc. In most cases, I do not know the history of the jewelry nor where it has traveled or been stored. Most importantly, I have no idea if it has been around pets, smoke, air fresheners or any sort of allergen or if it smells. (I do not smell jewelry)
