Elegant early-2000s John Richard attributed tall buffet/table lamp featuring a richly layered faux bamboo finish in warm amber, honey and deep brown tones.
A dramatic statement lamp with wonderful height and architectural presence, well suited to Hollywood Regency, traditional, chinoiserie, Palm Beach or collected interiors.
The slender architectural column is embellished with fluted detailing, carved lotus-style bands and clear Lucite/acrylic spacer rings. The substantial stepped square pedestal rests on four sculptural bun feet, giving the lamp an especially handsome neoclassical profile.
The underside is hand-marked “John Richard” and retains an original “Feb. 2003” date label and “Made in China” label. No original John-Richard factory label has been located, so the John-Richard attribution is based on the handwritten identification and construction details.
Condition:
Good pre-owned condition with age-appropriate wear. The clear acrylic/Lucite elements show some surface scratching and scuffing. Minor wear and variations to the hand-applied decorative finish are present.
Shade shown for presentation only. Shade not included in sale. Lamp base only.
