John Reeds gold mining lunch box from the John Reed Gold Mine from the 1800's. Searching on line, John Reed discovered gold quite by accident. He died a very rich man in the 1800's. I'm assuming someone painted this metal lunch box some years ago to identify it as their own. It has an old country scene on it . There is no dish or cup inside and it is a little rusted..please see photo. The overall condition is actually quite nice. the back edge has a dented area but one could expect…
