Vintage Chinese Jingdezhen porcelain lidded tea mug in the classic "Wan Shou Wu Jiang" (Boundless Longevity) famille rose pattern. Rich raspberry-pink ground decorated with hand-applied enamel scrollwork, chrysanthemum blossoms, bats, and four traditional medallions bearing the characters 萬 (wan), 壽 (shou), 無 (wu), 疆 (jiang) — together meaning "may you live ten thousand years without limit." Finished with a Greek-key border band in blue, yellow, and teal.
This set includes all three original pieces:
- The mug with handle
- The domed lid with sculpted bud finial and steam vent
- The separate perforated porcelain infuser insert (fits inside the mug for steeping loose-leaf tea)
Backstamped in red: "中国景德镇 / Made in China / 08" — confirming genuine Jingdezhen production, China's historic porcelain-making region.
Measurements: Approx. 4" diameter, 5" tall with lid on
Condition notes: Excellent — no chips, cracks, or crazing observed. Enamel colors and gold detailing are crisp and bright. Infuser insert is intact with no cracks around the perforations, which is often where these pieces fail over time. Please see all photos for full detail.
