Vintage Japanese SATSUMA MORIAGE Immortals Tea Set Gilding VG+++ For Sale

This is a great vintage Japanese Satsuma MORIAGE Tea Set. Tea set consists of teapot with lid, sugar with lid and creamer. All three pieces feature wonderful hand painted scenes depicting either a robed Hina Princess or Immortals with landscape. Colors are great and feature significant gilding. All three pieces have great MORIAGE detailing. Teapot measures approximately 7 1/4” tall, sugar 3 1/2” tall and creamer 3” tall. All three pieces are marked with a black “W” surrounded by “Hand painted Made in Japan”. Set probably dates from 1960’s possibly earlier. All pieces are in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or any damage. Colors are vibrant. Gilding is very nice though handles and lid knobs do have some very minor loss. All applied MORIAGE decoration is intact.
