Designed to divide rooms, frame windows, or hang in doorways, this noren features a classic vertical center split and sturdy fabric loops at the top for easy display on a tension rod or bamboo pole. The breathtaking artwork is rendered in the high-contrast, stylized aesthetic of regional Tsugaru festival and kite art. Featuring a bright white background that perfectly frames the vivid colors, the piece depicts an intense scene of a sword-wielding warrior and a long-haired maiden. The piece is authenticated by a prominent "Tsugaru" kanji stamp in the bottom corner and an artist's signature on the right edge.
Whether used functionally in a doorway or displayed flat against a wall as a dramatic textile tapestry, this piece brings authentic Asian aesthetic and incredible energy to any room.
