Vintage Japanese Lacquerware Postcard / Letter Box – Gold Landscape – New Old Stock
Beautiful vintage Japanese lacquerware box featuring an elegant gold-tone landscape scene against a deep dark reddish-brown/black lacquer finish.
The original Japanese label identifies the piece as Made in Japan and indicates it as a postcard holder/box (葉書入). The label also features 初音 (Hatsune) and model/code SK036C.
This is a particularly nice example because it appears to have remained unused New Old Stock and still includes its original Japanese storage/presentation box, tissue, and paperwork.
The traditional landscape decoration features architectural and nature elements with fine gold detailing, giving the piece a classic Japanese decorative appearance.
