Wonderful group of four vintage Japanese ceramic dog figurines, each with a different personality, pose and finish. This mixed collection has the expressive, whimsical character associated with mid-century Japanese animal figurines and makes an appealing instant grouping for a vintage dog collector.
The lot includes four different dogs: a seated brown hound looking upward, a shaggy brown and cream puppy, a low-slung reddish brown dog in a playful pose, and a cream and brown floppy-eared hound. One retains a vintage JAPAN paper label; the others are unmarked.
