This is a beautiful vintage signed A. Giannelli bust of Anjelica Maria in mix-alabaster mounted on a solid marble base.
9”H x 6”W x 4” D
She is without chips or cracks. She has normal signs of age. The marble base seems to have some old glue residue, it has normal wear.

This bust named Angelica Maria is in homage to the painting of Madonna by Fra Filippo Lippi. It is said that he convinced a convent to allow him to paint a novice nun as the Holy Mother, then persuaded her to run away with him to the shame of her family and her order.
