A charming vintage Italian musical jewelry box by Mariorita, Isola di Capri. The lid features a decorative arrangement of musical instruments—including a guitar, mandolin, horn and flute—surrounded by scrolling foliage in warm ochre and brown tones.The pale sage-green box has a softly figured finish, dark contrasting lid trim and four petite gold-tone feet. Inside is a blue velvet-lined jewelry compartment with a ring roll and a separate compartment housing the musical mechanism.The box plays the classic Neapolitan melody “Torna a Surriento,” also known as “Come Back to Sorrento.” The original Mariorita, Torna a Surriento and Made in Italy labels remain on the underside.Measurements:
