Vintage Italian Alabaster Hand Carved Parrot Sculpture 7 3/4” Tall For Sale

This incredible piece is a hand carved parrot by Italian craftsman with amazing skills. The wings are tinted a pale green and I believe yellow and black eyes are made of glass. As it is carved into what I believe to be probably, alabaster stone, it is quite heavy weighing over 3 pounds and measure almost 8 inches tall. I believe that it is from Italy and does have a mark. It appears to be a diamond shape which you can see in the photos. Although I don’t know the year it was made it does appear to be rather old, possibly from the 40s or 50s, or maybe even earlier. The Piers to be no chips or cracks, although there is wear from many years use and display. It is actually in very good condition.
