Vintage Innsbruck Souvenir Ski Boot Match Holder For Sale

Vintage Innsbruck Souvenir Leather Ski Boot Match Holder — As-FoundA miniature novelty boot built just like the real thing: black leather over a stitched form, cross-laced ties, a red leather cuff and heel trim, a brass buckle at the ankle strap, and a textured rubber sole with a waffle tread pattern. A small edelweiss flower decorates one side, and a leather ankle strap reads \"Innsbruck.\"Tucked into the open top is a genuine vintage matchbox, labeled \"SCHUBERT — SICHERHEITSZÜNDER\" (safety matches) with a printed portrait of the composer, still holding a full stand of long used wooden matches .Novelties like this — miniature leather boot match holders, lighters, and ashtray stands — were a well-established Austrian and Tyrolean tourist souvenir category through the mid-20th century. The \"Innsbruck\" tag is a souvenir-shop label rather than a manufacturer\'s mark, so an exact maker and decade aren\'t confirmed; the bundled Schubert matchbox is genuine old ephemera in its own right, also of unconfirmed date.Condition: Good vintage conditionMeasurements: 3 x 3 x 3/4 in.Sold as pictured, as-found.
