Vintage handwoven palm fiber basket tray attributed to the Yanomami people of the Brazil/Venezuela Amazon region. Features a tightly woven natural fiber body with concentric dark decorative bands and a substantial braided rim. Measures approximately 13 inches in diameter. This shallow form is commonly identified in the ethnographic market as a basket lid or tray used with larger gathering or burden baskets. An attractive example of indigenous Amazonian basketry for display, wall décor, or an ethnographic collection.
