Up for sale is an authentic, original 1940s Vintage Hull Pottery "Little Red Riding Hood" Sitting Figural Planter (also frequently collected as an open crawling sugar bowl or desk accessory). This hard-to-find novelty piece features a beautifully sculpted Little Red Riding Hood figure leaning against an open-top multi-use vessel compartment.**Condition Details:**
Please review all high-resolution photos carefully to confirm the condition profile:
- **Ceramic Structure:** Outstanding structural shape. There are NO chips along the wavy top rim of the planter pocket, her fingers, or feet. No hairline cracks or structural spidering.
- **Paint & Decals:** The hand-painted facial features are bright, and the multi-colored poppy, daisy, and violet flower dress decals are pristine, glossy, and complete with no scraping.
- **Cold Paint Flaking:** Shows tiny flecks of minor surface red paint loss/flaking along the rear crest curves of her hood cape, which is extremely typical for the cold-painted application methods of this era.
- **Gold & Trim Accents:** The gold gilt bow on her front scarf shows minor vintage rubbing/thinning from handling over the decades.
- **Base:** The bottom is smooth and unmarked, entirely correct for the early-production variants of this mid-century line.
