This Herbert Terry 1227 Angle poise has an unusual base it looks every bit original and the way it fits I think it is.
Possible a map reading lamp or work lamp.
It’s been fully rewired with a new Bakelite switch new grommets and earthed and a new black 3 pin plug fitted with a 3amp fuse.
