An authentic piece of American textile history. This gorgeous 1930s Depression-era patchwork quilt features a unique variation of the Star Patch / Checkered Garden design. It beautifully balances soft, muted pastel floral and geometric prints with striking, vibrant red star accent blocks.
The quilt showcases an amazing variety of genuine 1930s feedsack and calico fabrics (including a highly collectible novelty fruit print), quilted with a traditional 100% cotton batting. The reverse side is finished with a classic black/indigo and white ticking stripe utility fabric, completed with a charming plaid/checkered perimeter binding.
