Item Description
Up for your consideration is a stunning, vintage hand-carved olive wood figurine depicting David the shepherd boy gently carrying a lamb.
What sets this particular piece apart is the exceptional craftsmanship. While many olive wood carvings feature simple or generic facial details, this little boy has an incredibly beautiful, expressive face. The artistry and skill of the carver truly shine through in the fine detailing of his expression, hair, and the texturing of his garments and the lamb.
Carved from a single piece of solid Holy Land olive wood, it showcases a gorgeous, highly contrasted natural grain pattern with beautiful warm tones. The figurine stands securely on its integrated, hand-carved rustic wooden base, measuring a substantial 9 and 3/4 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of his head.
A timeless piece of religious or folk art that makes a meaningful gift or a wonderful addition to any vintage collection.
