Vintage 1990 HB Henriot Quimper Christmas ornament, hand painted in France. It's made of French faience pottery in a puffy heart shape.
Front: a colorful French rooster with a yellow and orange body, a red comb and wattle, and a sweeping tail of blue, rust, green, and yellow feathers. It stands on yellow and green ground between tufts of green grass, framed by a rust red scalloped border and the classic Quimper blue sponged edge.
Back: a yellow tulip with green leaves and blue flowers. It's signed and dated in brown script: "Noël 1990 HB Henriot Quimper France."
It has an ornate silver-tone filigree cap with a wire hanging loop.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Please see the photos, which are part of the description.
Measures approx. 3 in. tall x 2.5 in. wide.
A great dated annual ornament for Quimper collectors and French country or farmhouse decor lovers.
