This standard medium-sized variation features the Virgin Mary wearing a lovely light blue cloak detailed with textured flowers, holding the infant Jesus alongside an open book and a small bluebird.
This particular piece is a highly collectible "Open Halo" variant, where the pastel-trimmed halo stands completely detached behind her head.
Markings & Authenticity:
• Base: Features the crisp blue TMK-3 Stylized Bee stamp (nested inside a V), which accurately dates this piece's production between 1960 and 1972. It is also incised with the size mark 10/1 and stamped with the Germany origin text.
• Back Cloak Rim: Clearly incised with the authentic cursive M.I. Hummel signature along the bottom edge.
Condition:
Beautiful vintage condition with vibrant colors. No major chips or structural cracks detected. May show minor age-related crazing in the glaze typical for mid-century German porcelain. Safe and secure packaging is guaranteed.
