A large classic Gerber Bowie from the late 1980s to early 1990s era, featuring a long matte-finished Bowie blade, coffin-shaped Kraton rubber handle, brass guard, and black Cordura sheath.

Condition:
The knife appears unused and retains its factory edge.
The blade surface is very clean with no noticeable scratches.
There is only a very small area of light surface rust near the spine at the base of the right side of the blade.
The brass guard shows some tarnish/darkening from age.
The Cordura sheath is in good overall condition.
There is a small amount of rust on some of the sheath rivets.
Please check all photos carefully for the exact condition.
A very nice example of the vintage Gerber 5978 Bowie, especially desirable in this clean, unused condition with the original Cordura sheath.
