The George Washington Masonic National Memorial, located on Arlington Ridge between Washington and Alexandria, stands as a beacon of Freemasonry. The Memorial is 230 feet long, 160 feet wide, and rises to a height of 220 feet. One of its most striking features is the great atrium forming the Memorial Hall, which houses a statue of Washington. Built with New England granite, the Memorial’s construction was a monumental project costing $4,000,000, with an additional $1,000,000 endowment.

Published by The Washington News Company and printed using the Colorchrome process by Underwood & Underwood, this postcard is a fine example of mid-20th-century American postcard production. The Washington News Company was known for its high-quality, colorful postcards that depicted significant landmarks and historical scenes.
