Vintage Genuine Original 1953 Smokey Bear Poster, Michigan Conservation RARE! A+

INFO: Very unusual, genuine and original Smokey the Bear poster from 1953. This is a \"PRE-STRUNG\" posterboard poster for tie mounting to trees and poles! The poster measures 18 1/2\" x 13\" and is a stiff thicker poster waxed cardboard, which allows it to bend for tree and pole mounting. (The double-sided waxed finish protects it from the out-of-doors weather) There are 4 grommeted holes, 2 on each side, with the original strings still attached to two of these. The cotton strings measure about 40\" long.In my 69-year lifetime, I\'ve never seen one mounted or for sale, and I\'ve been in this collecting business for about 30 years. It is New Old Stock (NOS), has never been displayed or used, was not stored in premiere conditions, but has survived well considering.

CONDITION: Very Good to Excellent condition! Fabulous vivid color! Grommets holes on the front are excellent, and the strings are also excellent. Backside is also excellent! There is no staining/soiling on the front or back! No noted crease bends or creases, no bent corners. The corners show slightly slow curling, but these lay flat when pressed down (See photos). Darn nice poster for its age and being stored in a garage attic for over 70 years! Please view all photos for condition, as they are part of the description, and ask any questions prior to offerding or buying. No surprises when you open the package!
