Vintage French gilt metal and enamel NORMANDIE lapel pin featuring the traditional two gold Norman leopards on a deep red enamel field. Reverse bears an old-style pin fitting and circular maker mark that appears to read “CAMUS PARIS.”
This shield design is closely related to insignia used for the celebrated SS Normandie of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique/French Line during the 1930s. Known ocean-liner badges use the same NORMANDIE and two-leopard imagery, although many documented examples additionally bear “French Line” and/or “Cie Gle Transatlantique.” This example has no visible French Line or CGT identification, so it is not being represented as definitively issued for the SS Normandie and may instead be a French regional/heraldic lapel pin.

Vintage condition with surface wear, patina and age-related discoloration to the reverse. Enamel has visible surface wear consistent with age. Pin mechanism is present. Please review photographs closely for condition.
