An amazing sculptural perfume atomizer: a mauve and amber core cased in heavy clear glass and drawn into a curling wave. A gold foil oval label on the body reads OURAGAN, PARIS, MONTURE CUIVRE GARANTI - the maker, the city, and a guarantee of the copper mounting. The bulb assembly is complete and still attached: brass fittings, a long curved brass tube and a mesh-covered bulb. The amber pool and the small dark specks at the foot are inside the glass, part of how the casing was made, not marks on the surface.
SIZE (approximate): 7 in tall with the fitting in place, 3.75 in wide, 2.5 in deep
STYLE: Mid-century French cased art glass atomizer, sommerso spiral form, with a complete bulb
AGE (approximate): The label names the maker, Ouragan, and the city, Paris. The form and fittings are consistent with mid-20th century French art glass.
CONDITION: No chips and no cracks visible. The brass fittings are tarnished and there is residue inside the bottle. The bulb is present and attached.
