This is a beautiful vintage ceramic trivet / hot plate produced by Frankoma Pottery in 1976 to commemorate the United States Bicentennial.
The piece features a striking, embossed design of the American Eagle at its center, complete with a patriotic shield, arrows, and an olive branch. The outer border is cleanly inscribed with the words "THE AMERICAN EAGLE" along the top, and "COURAGE • POWER • FREEDOM" along the bottom.
Finished in a classic, glossy cream-colored glaze, this round plaque showcases excellent detail and serves beautifully as a functional kitchen trivet, a decorative wall hanging, or a collectible piece of Americana mid-century pottery.
